How does telehealth work?
Telehealth therapy sessions are conducted virtually from the comfort of your home or a confidential space, and it eliminates the need for transportation. With the comfort of virtual sessions, it is imperative for both the therapist and client to maintain privacy. I know sometimes it can be a challenge to find a confidential space. I'm happy to brainstorm some ideas with you if needed.
Telehealth sessions are conducted via a HIPAA compliant version of Zoom. Therapy sessions are offered to residents of California.
Do I have to attend session every week? How long does therapy take?
We all have different needs, and therapy is tailored to the individual, couple, or family. With that said, weekly sessions are ideal. Consistency is important for progress. As therapy ends, sometimes sessions might be spread out to twice weekly.

The total length for therapy varies for each person, couple, or family. There is no right or wrong length of time. Some factors that may influence length of therapy are goals/intentions, consistent participation, and implementing ideas or strategies utilized in therapy at home or outside of session.
What is your cancellation or missed appointment policy?
Sessions may be rescheduled or cancelled 24 hours before your scheduled time. When a session is booked, I reserve the time for you. If a session is missed or not canceled 24 hours in advance, the full session fee will be charged. With that said, I do realize that sometimes things just come up. I'll do my best to work with you to reschedule your appointment within the same week contingent on my availability.
What if I can't pay your fee?
I do offer sliding scales fees. Please contact me to find out more. Also, I'd be happy to help connect with you lower cost counseling centers if needed.
